Ava will soon hear from Sonny’s lawyer about whether their daughter Avery should stay at the hotel, even temporarily. This sets the stage for an impending custody battle, with Sonny determined to take Avery from Ava.
Trina visits Ava at the Metro Court and relays Sonny’s message. Furious, Ava accuses Sonny of trying to take her daughter out of spite. She believes he’s retaliating because she deprived one of his friends of their legal license. Ava vows to fight back and calls Scott for legal help, fearing Sonny might fabricate evidence or bribe someone to gain custody. Scott, aware of the messy history between Sonny and Ava, agrees to represent her, warning that such battles often end disastrously for everyone involved.
