### Very Sad😭😭News !! Young and Restless Nick Drops || Big Heartbreaking 😭 News !! It Will Shock You
Years ago, Joshua Morrow was disappointed when he didn’t land the role of Dylan Shaw, a stripper on “The Bold and the Beautiful.” However, just a week later, he received a life-changing call from “The Young and the Restless” to audition for the role of Nicholas Newman. The casting team told him, “Hey, this one didn’t work out, but we think you’d be great on ‘Young and the Restless.'” Morrow was thrilled and prepared for a lengthy audition process.
To his surprise, his audition was with the show’s late co-creator Bill Bell and producer Ed Scott, alongside Heather Tom, who played Nick’s sister, Victoria. After a single read, Ed Scott turned to Morrow and said, “You got the job, kid.” It felt incredibly fast to Morrow, though behind the scenes, the casting team had been searching for the right actor for a long time and were impressed with his previous audition for “The Bold and the Beautiful.”
Morrow was fortunate to land the role on only his fourth audition ever. He made his debut on “The Young and the Restless” on June 21, 1994, quickly becoming a fan favorite, a mainstay on the show, and a multiple Emmy nominee. From the start, Morrow was hooked. He recalls his first day of filming at 7:30 a.m. with Heather Tom. By 8:15 a.m., he was done for the day, surprising his mom when he returned home early.
Reflecting on his nearly 30-year journey, Morrow is immensely proud and thankful for the opportunity. If he had gotten the role on “The Bold and the Beautiful,” his career might have been very different. He watched as Dylan Neal, who started on “The Bold and the Beautiful” around the same time, lasted only 2 or 3 years. In contrast, Morrow’s role as Nick Newman became a cornerstone of “The Young and the Restless,” ensuring his longevity on the show as long as he remained committed and professional.
Morrow’s dedication and love for the show have made him an integral part of “The Young and the Restless,” much to the delight of its viewers. His journey from a hopeful young actor to a beloved leading man is a testament to his talent and perseverance.
