Among fan chatter, a rumor has gained some traction that Kody Brown’s ex-wives are planning to sue him over the financial loss related to Coyote Pass. With Janelle, Meri, and Christine no longer with Kody Brown, it makes sense that none of them would want to live on Coyote Pass anymore. So, fans wonder what happens to the money they put into obtaining the property.
Is there any truth to this rumor? What happens to the property now that Kody has lost three of his four wives? Keep reading for the details.
Will Kody Brown’s ex-wives sue him?
According to InTouch Weekly, there is absolutely no truth in the rumor that any of Kody’s ex-wives are planning to take him to court over Coyote Pass. A source close to the family noted that Kody and his ex-wives are on “amicable terms.” So, any kind of messy battle in court isn’t something anyone wants to be involved in.
Truthfully, however, there would not be much for Meri, Janelle, and Christine to take to court over. Christine, for example, already sold her portion of the property back to Kody for next to nothing. The only reason they slapped a number on it at all was for tax purposes. There, however, is another reason why Meri and Janelle wouldn’t really benefit from taking Kody to court over Coyote Pass. What is that reason? Well, it lies in the breakdown of the property.
The real breakdown of Coyote Pass
As Tv Shows Ace has previously reported, the network paints the picture of a property with five lots. A lot for each of the wives and a lot forKody. That, however, isn’t the actual breakdown of the property. Technically, Kody Brown has his name on every lot of Coyote Pass that his family owns. And, Meri Brown has her name on next to nothing as far as the amount of property is concerned. Looking at the numbers, nearly all of the property is owned by Robyn and Kody.
Technically, Janelle Brown owns about 34 percent of the property. But, she shared nearly half of that with Meri AND Kody and she shares the other half with just Kody.
The unfortunate truth is taking Kody to court for financial issues related to Coyote Pass would just be a messy situation for all involved because of how the property is broken down and who owns what. This is a messy situation that isn’t going to happen, at least not now, according to the source that spoke to InTouch Weekly.
