In today’s episode, Lee informs Steffy and Finn that Tom and Hollis died from the same toxic substance. Steffy suspects Sheila, a former nurse skilled in dosages, might be involved. Lee warns that this further implicates Sheila, who has a notorious past. Steffy, undeterred by Finn’s concerns, is determined to confront Sheila, aiming to pressure her into confessing and ensuring she returns to prison.
Meanwhile, at Deacon’s apartment, Sheila tries to console Deacon, who is freaking out about Tom and Hollis’s deaths. She acknowledges the tragedy but cautions Deacon against turning to murder. Just then, Deputy Chief Baker arrives, overhearing their conversation about murder. He’s there to investigate the deaths at Deacon’s establishment, emphasizing the need to probe the situation.
Rich, at Forrester, hasn’t heard from Steffy and expresses his confusion to Hope and Brooke about Sheila’s potential involvement. As Carter enters with news from the police, it’s revealed that Hollis died from an overdose. Rich believes Sheila’s involvement is no coincidence and fears more trouble from her.
At Deacon’s place, Steffy and Lee arrive to confront Sheila. Sheila tries to defend herself, claiming innocence and changed behavior, but Steffy isn’t convinced. As tensions rise, Baker asks Deacon to recount the night of Tom’s death. Deacon explains the events, noting Sheila’s presence but denying her involvement. However, the evidence points towards Sheila’s guilt.
Amidst the chaos, Sheila recalls a critical clue – Tom’s backpack, which Hollis had discovered before his death. Sheila’s recollection suggests the backpack might hold vital evidence. Despite a thorough search at El Jardino, the backpack remains elusive. Steffy and Lee press Baker to take action against Sheila.
Finn, caught in the middle, insists on protecting his family, leading Baker to finally take Sheila away for interrogation. As Sheila is escorted out, Steffy and Finn share a moment of relief.
