Nigel Harman’s Casualty fate ‘sealed’ as fans ‘work out’ Strictly Come Dancing exit

Casualty viewers have figured out how Nigel Harman will leave the BBC hospital drama as he prepares to make his Strictly Come Dancing debut.

It looks as though fans have figured out how Nigel Harman will temporarily bow out of Casualty as Max Cristie.

The actor joined the long-running BBC drama earlier this year as the new clinical lead at Holby’s Emergency Department.

However, it was recently announced the actor will be taking part in this year’s Strictly Come Dancing, leaving many curious as to how the 50-year-old will continue his Casualty role.

However, during Saturday night’s episodes, viewers seemed to have worked out what’s in store for Max’s future.

As the episode began, it was clear the doctor wasn’t feeling well as he had to take a moment away from the hospital floor.

However, things took a turn for the worse when he collapsed in his office in a pool of sweat.

Being found by Dylan Keogh (William Beck) he told Max he’d run some tests for him to get to the bottom of what was going on, but wouldn’t tell anyone else.

Later on in the episode, it transpired the doctor had end-stage kidney disease, which means if he doesn’t have dialysis or a transplant he’ll die.

It wasn’t long before viewers took to Twitter to state his health decline could see him leave the show, either to have a transplant and recover or something more sinister.

@janemas1989 said: “Max really shouldn’t be working.”

@suggywell18 added: “Max isn’t in a good way.”

She later added: “Jodie will give her kidney to Max, while he’s on Strictly.”
@janemas1989 commented: “Listen to Dylan Max, you’re not well.”

@teenamassam said: “Max showing true dedication but he needs to look after himself too.”

Nigel will be joining Strictly along with the likes of Adam Thomas, Krishnan Guru-Murthy, Eddie Kadi, Angela Scanlon and Zara McDermott all try their best to win the infamous Glitterball.
