Missing Casualty episode ruled ‘inappropriate’ will finally air after 4 months

The BBC have decided that they will air an episode of Casualty that they skipped in May amid concerns its content would be ‘inappropriate’ amid coronavirus

The BBC have decided that they will finally air the missing episode of Casualty.

The corporation have set a date of September 26, four months after its original intended air date.

Concerns were raised at the time about the episode’s content – namely that it featured strong parallels with the coronavirus pandemic.

Now, after careful consideration at the Beeb, fans will finally get to see what they missed out on, Digital Spy reports.

Titled Code Orange, the episode followed characters in the emergency department as it goes into lockdown in the fallout of a chemical attack.

Kate Oates, Head of Continuing Drama at the BBC, said: “We are really proud of this Casualty episode and are excited to share it with audiences.”

And teasing what drama we can expect, Kate added: “We know Casualty fans will be delighted to watch the never-before-seen moments of the Fenisha, Will and Ethan love triangle, and to see the whole ED come together to tackle an invisible threat.”

Fans breathed a sigh of relief at the announcement, having asked for the episode to be made available on iPlayer since May.

Amanda’s performance as Connie has seen her passionately reunite with Chucky Venn’s Jacob Masters.

In fact, the scene was so steamy Amanda ended up apologising to Chucky’s wife.

After the show aired, she tweeted: “Soooo…. you liked? This was a tough scene for @ChuckyVenn and me (sorry Mrs Venn!) but we had to end the series with a bang!”
