Casualty paramedic Ruby tried desperately to save her sister Violette’s life, but she still tragically died and left behind her young baby daughter Harmony

Tonight, her character Ruby battled to save sister Violette’s life in heartbreaking scenes, leaving viewers in floods of tears.
Violette had been in rehab as she struggled to get herself clean, but ultimately ended up tragically taking drugs from a woman in the centre.
Ruby tried desperately to help Violette, but she ended up dying – leaving her baby Harmony in her care.
Fans flocked to Twitter to praise actress Maddy, who previously played Nancy in EastEnders, over her performance.
