Chicago Fire adds new stars after Rome Flynn leaves

Next are the spoilers for Chicago Fire season 12.

Chicago Fire’s cast changes continue as actor Michael Bradway joins the preparations for season 12.

Chicago Fire adds new star to cast following Rome Flynn exit

The Dick Wolf series has cast the Marked Men star in an undisclosed role. Following the official announcement, Bradway took to his Instagram to share the news with his followers.

“Must become a member of the Chicago Fire Family in season 12!” he wrote, adding a fire emoji. “Can’t wait for you guys to see it next week!”
According to Deadline, the newcomer is expected to play “charming firefighter” Jack Damon, making his Chicago Fire debut in episode 10 and potentially becoming a regular character next season.

Bradway’s casting comes after the shocking departure of Rome Flynn after six episodes of playing Derrick Gibson.

The How to Get Away With Murder star left Chicago Fire earlier this month when his character left to get help for his prescription drug addiction.

“Like all fans, I was sad to see Gibson go,” Flynn told Variety. He’s a character I would love to play,” Flynn told Variety, leaving open the possibility of a return.

“I had a wonderful experience during my time on Chicago Fire and have great respect for the cast and crew, and hope to work with Dick Wolf again when the time is right.”

Chicago Fire also recently lost star Kara Killmer, who relinquished her role as Sylvie Brett after 10 years.

Sylvie’s departure occurred when she and fire chief Matt Casey (Jesse Spencer) moved to Portland after getting married, with Killmer saying that playing the role of a first responder for a decade was one thing ” humble and full of ambition”.

Chicago Fire, Chicago PD and Chicago Med air on NBC and Peacock in the US and on Sky Witness in the UK.
