Sami’s Return Predictions, What Mayhem Does She Have In Store For Salem!

When we last saw Sami in Salem, she had quite hypocritically chastised and dumped Lucas for arranging her kidnapping, having her held hostage for months with the intent to pin the crime on EJ in the hopes that she would dump the DiMera once and for all and run back to Lucas.

Let’s be honest, that seems rather tame in comparison to drugging your crush and luring him into bed, getting pregnant by his brother and passing the baby off as his, pretending to be paralyzed and an amnesiac to guilt him into staying in a fake marriage…and those are just the things she did to Austin!

Sources have confirmed that Sami will be returning sometime in 2025. Which has fans speculating: what will bring her back to Salem?

In a recent interview, Alison Sweeney, who has played Sami on and off since 1993, said of her return“[It] was definitely an unexpected storyline they pitched me… all the ideas, I was pretty shocked.”

Chad and Jack have just discovered a mystery woman who may or may not be Abigail. Whether she is or not, her true identity is likely a key piece in finding out what happened to Abigail. Could it be that Sami was involved in her disappearance? Sami has never been one to drop a grudge easily.

And it’s only been 10 years since Abigail’s affair with EJ for which, while Sami eventually forgave EJ, she never forgave Abigail. Could Clyde have convinced her to help him as a way of finally exacting her revenge?

She also left town on unfriendly terms with ex-husband EJ. Coincidentally, EJ had also kidnapped Sami (prior to Lucas’s heist) along with Lucas and locked them in the DiMera tunnels.

When EJ learned the two slept together while fearing for their lives, he admonished Sami and kicked her to the curb.

With Nicole out of the picture, could Sami be back to beg for another chance? Or better yet, could she and Nicole have met up in Paris and finally decided to call a truce and join forces against EJ?

Sami hasn’t had a true girlfriend since Jamie, back in high school. It would be a wonderful new twist to see her motivated by some good-old female loyalty.

However she also left one other ex-husband behind in Salem. Rafe isn’t doing so well these days, having been stabbed by the off-kilter Connie.

Rafe helped raise three of Sami’s kids. Johnny had an emotional scene with the comatose commish this week telling him what a great stepfather he was.

Could the thought of losing Rafe for good be what compels Sami back to town? And if so, what will it mean for Rafe and Jada?
