Over the years, Sonny Corinthos of General Hospital has shown us one thing: he is extraordinarily fertile. Although not Michael’s biological father, he currently fathers four living children and would have had five more if not for a series of miscarriages and deaths. Morgan was one of those tragic losses, having perished in an automobile explosion after Ava tampered with his prescription.
Now, there are rumors that Sonny may soon have another son. This twist’s timing appears highly deliberate. It all began with a story Lloyd shared today, discussing J’s past with Cari and how her nephew’s father passed away before knowing he was expecting a child. Sonny stepped in to support Gio, paying his bills from age 10. While generous, it raises red flags. Sonny never mentioned Gio, not even to Cari, sparking curiosity.
Could Sonny have doubts about Gio’s paternity? Perhaps he had an affair with Gio’s mother just before she got pregnant, preferring Gio to see his heroic stepfather rather than Sonny as his real father. When Gio’s mother also passed, Sonny might have decided to keep supporting Gio without mentioning his potential paternity.
The return of Ava’s storyline about Morgan’s tragedy coincides with these events, and it’s speculated that Brian Craig may make a special comeback as Morgan in August.
