After four seasons starring Blake Gallo, Alberto Rosende is set to escape Chicago Fire after his final appearance in the Season 12 premiere, Deadline has learned. Sources say his exit from the Wolf Entertainment/Universal Television drama was entirely amicable.
Rosende debuted on the NBC hit series in the second episode of Season 8 titled “A Real Shot In The Arm,” as a daring new candidate for Firehouse 51 who impressed but disappointing his colleagues. He was initially cast in a recurring role but was updated to regular in 2019, as Deadline exclusively reported.
Kara Killmer, who has played Sylvie Brett since Season 3, is also set to leave Chicago Fire in Season 12. And although fans will see the two fan-favorite characters move on, they can count on return of Taylor Kinney, who will return next season after a sabbatical.
Elsewhere on One Chicago, things are also shaking. Tracy Spiridakos will say goodbye to her character Detective Hailey Upton Halstead in the upcoming 11th season of Chicago P.D. On Chicago Med, Deadline exclusively announced yesterday the addition of Luke Mitchell to the Season 9 cast.
In addition to his work on Chicago Fire, Rosende is also best known for his role as Simon Lewis on the Freeform series Shadowhunters. Additional credits include CBS’s Blue Bloods and NBC’s Law & Order: SVU.
