Hope begins to question her choice as Steffy suggests Thomas leave with Paris and Douglas. We start with Finn still helping Hope cope with recent events. “Your emotions are justified,” he says to her, wondering if she expected Thomas to come home and see her. Finn remarks as a friend that Thomas is very dedicated to Paris. Hope notes that Steffy is promoting the Thomas-Paris combo and says Finn and Steffy would do anything to keep Thomas and her apart. Finn is all in on the romance, explaining why Hope can perform better, and he’s confident.
Hope tells Finn she cannot grasp why Thomas is rushing into this relationship while Finn admits he knows why she is struggling. She also wonders why she turned down his several proposals. “I wish not to lose him, yet the thought of eternity worries me,” she says. Paris, Thomas, and Douglas are lounging at Steffy’s residence. “I love this,” Steffy says, excited by the closeness of this beautiful tiny family. Finding out Thomas and Paris will have a traditional Forrester family wedding excites Steffy even more.
Douglas, although he misses his mother and sister, acknowledges that Paris makes Thomas happy and him too. Steffy sends Douglas to play in the guest house with Kelly and Hayes. Steffy is clearly team Thomas and Paris, hoping Douglas might gently guide Hope. Paris assures Hope still has feelings for Thomas, but she is not feeling insecure. “Our affection for each other makes me very confident,” Paris says.
Eric is ready to throw the wedding at the Forrester estate, while Donna questions whether Thomas is truly over Hope. Brooke advises it may be a long engagement, and Ridge agrees that Thomas and Hope will always be close. Ridge and Eric agree that Thomas and Hope will always have a connection, but he has moved on with Paris. Donna keeps questioning why Thomas is rushing, and Brooke, while not advocating for a Hope-Thomas reunion, asks Steffy if she might be guiding Thomas toward Paris to keep him away from Hope.
Thomas, Paris, and Douglas enjoy their time together, and Steffy supports the idea of them moving to Europe to lead an amazing life. Hope continues to question her feelings and her decisions. Finn reassures Hope that the right person for her will be there when she least expects it. Meanwhile, Steffy encourages Thomas to focus on his future with Paris and let go of Hope.
