Casualty return date confirmed and unveils explosive first-look trailer

BBC has confirmed the return of Casualty following a show-stopping trailer. In the first look of the series there lies drama ahead and one of the soap’s iconic characters facing a pending death.

Casualty returns to the BBC this December. In the thrilling trailer, which has been released, it revealed the chaos which is upon the doctors and nurses at the hospital.

During the explosive clip from the upcoming series of the media drama, there lies death, trauma, and one dramatic exit from an iconic character.

The BBC has confirmed the show will return to screens on December 30.

When the show last aired earlier this year, fans were left with many unanswered questions.

It has been revealed that Charlie Fairhead, played by actor Derek Thompson will hang up his scrubs.

He has been part of the show since the beginning when the first episode aired back in 1986.

After spending nearly four decades on the programme it appears he will be making a huge exit.

The new trailer started with a flashback to the very first episode.

Viewers see a glimpse of younger Charlie wearing his trademark coat stepping out of his canary yellow car.

It then switches to the senior medic looking stunned as violence erupts in the Emergency Department.

Later a gunshot is heard in the background with Charlie’s ID badge exposed with blood over it.

Stevie Nash, who is played by Elinor Lawless, appears to also get mixed up in the chaos.
