The Young and the Restless spoilers for Wednesday, June 12th reveal that Victor Newman will deny wanting to punish Nikki Newman, but he makes it clear that he still has issues with Jack Abbott. After Nikki storms out in anger, Victor evades Nick Newman’s questions about his corporate shakeup and insists he persuade Victoria Newman to return to Newman Enterprises. Victor is optimistic that Adam Newman taking over at Newman Media will eventually make Nikki see things his way.
Victoria admits she finds the idea of a dinner date with Cole Howard appealing, so they plan for 7:00 p.m. Cole is pleased but concerned, recalling Victor’s advice to stay away from Victoria. Remembering Victor’s new orders to redeem himself by befriending Kyle Abbott, Cole ponders Victor’s mysterious motives. Cole joins Kyle, Harrison Abbott, and Claire Grace at the park for ice cream, seizing the chance to invite Kyle out for a beer sometime.
At home, Adam tells Sally Spectra they should avoid answering the door to keep out family drama. However, Summer Newman shows up to meet with Sally, and they have a productive talk about Sally’s ideas for the company, making Summer optimistic about their future. Later, at the Abbott mansion, Summer finds Harrison already enjoying ice cream with Claire and Kyle. She admits feeling a pang of something seeing Harrison so fond of Claire but accepts that Claire makes him happy.
At The Tack House, Nikki tells Victoria she believes Victor is punishing her and opposes Adam taking over Newman Media. Nikki encourages Victoria to fill in at Newman Media instead of Adam. When Nick arrives, he admits Victor wants him to convince Victoria to lead Newman Media but denies their father wants to make things difficult for Nikki. Despite this, Nikki remains skeptical, believing there’s more to Victor’s motives.
Victor meets Adam at Society and hints at needing someone ruthless to lead Newman Media to eliminate an opponent. Victor admits that Adam is an ally, not a puppet, which satisfies Adam. This revelation leaves viewers wondering about Victor’s deadly plot ahead.
In the park, Claire Grace spends time with Kyle, revealing more about herself and bringing them closer. Cole Howard arrives to fulfill Victor’s orders to befriend Kyle, setting the stage for future intrigue. Meanwhile, Nick questions Victoria about her relationship with Cole, encouraging her to be happy.
