What’s coming up in the ED?
Next week on Casualty, Dylan has a plan to expose Patrick, while Jacob struggles with Carter and Rash feels betrayed by Tariq.
Here’s a full collection of the biggest moments coming up:
1. Patrick is under suspicion

Patrick announces that there will be a board review following an increase in serious patient incidents, and he instructs the team to be extra vigilant.
Dylan and Stevie are suspicious, agreeing that Patrick is covering for himself by blaming the team, and they decide to work together to keep him away from patients.
But Dylan soon finds out that Patrick is working a clinical shift, and when he tries to intervene with a patient, he is sent away.
2. Jacob is concerned

Jacob arrives late to work and tells Iain that Carter hasn’t stopped crying all weekend.
While on a call out with Iain, Jacob gets a voicemail from Carter’s creche. They tell him that Carter is increasingly unsettled and isn’t progressing as quickly as they’d like.
3. Tariq considers his career

Rash helps Tariq with a patient, and while Tariq celebrates their success, Rash is uninterested.
Tariq asks for advice, as he is considering specialties, but Rash just tells him to speak to Patrick to discuss shadowing options.
4. Patrick catches Dylan in the act

While Patrick’s office is empty, Dylan enters and emails himself the serious incidents report, to cross reference against the rotas and get evidence of his incompetence.
When Dylan leaves the office, Patrick is waiting outside, suspicious of what he has been up to.
Dylan later receives a phone call with important information about Patrick.

5. Jacob thinks about the future

Jacob admits to Jan that he is struggling to juggle his responsibilities and asks her to reduce his shifts.
As he leaves with his crying grandson, Jacob is angry and he considers his future at the ED.
6. Tariq accuses Rash

Tariq speaks to Patrick about using his contacts for shadowing opportunities, and he is happy to help – but during the conversation, he implies that Rash is the whistleblower.
Tariq tells Rash that everyone knows he is the whistleblower, and he should just admit it.
Rash is hurt by his cousin and thinks that Tariq has sided with Patrick to further his career.
7. Teddy takes a step

Teddy, currently suspended by Jan pending his investigation, turns up at the hospital after getting injured while street fighting.
With encouragement from Jodie, he decides to go to the police about his recent assault.
Casualty airs on Saturday nights on BBC One and now streams first on BBC iPlayer, where episodes are released at 6am on the day of transmission.
